Travel a la carte
Covering 75 hectares acquired by Louis XIII in 1633, Fourqueux estate was previously run by a farmer before a couple golfers made their wish come true, build a Golf club. Léon Visinet, member of the Automobile Club Île de France, presided over the creation of the “Golf & Tennis Club de Marly & Fourqueux”.
In 1961, the announced closure of the Marly Golf Club led a group of golfers to seek a place nearby to rebuild a golf course. The Fourqueux estate was chosen and the course designed by Lou Pettit, an American architect.
The Fourqueux Country Club re-opened its doors in 1962 with an 18 hole course inaugurated (then another 9 holes) on May 11th, 1963. Fourqueux is a little garden golf course, very precious and hidden a few minutes from Paris where you will enjoy a perfect harmony between tradition and modern style.
